The Gospel According to the Bible
Understand you are a sinner:
There is none righteous, no not one (Romans 3:10)
Understand that you cannot save yourself by any good works:
For by grace ye are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Understand Jesus Christ is the only way to be forgiven:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Repent, and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you:
I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3-JESUS’ OWN WORDS)
Pray this simple prayer and mean it with all your heart:
Lord Jesus, I confess I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I now receive you as my Saviour, and Lord. I believe that you died, shed your blood, and rose from the grave to purchase my salvation. I am willing to turn from my sin. In Jesus’ name I ask this, Amen.
